Winter Surfing in Nova Scotia
I wrote about winter surfing earlier this year and a lot of people expressed an interest in the sport. This past Sunday the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation did a half hour program about the sport. You can view it here.
Growing up in Nova Scotia in the 1940s and 1950s we lived outside. The weather was never a problem, rain or sunshine, hot or cold, foggy or clear, every morning we got dressed, had breakfast and went outside to play. What did we do? So much. Swimming, bicycling, mounting plays on a woodpile stage, skating, sledding. We were never bored. I still love to be outside - hiking, walking, picnicking, gardening, golfing, exploring, skating, skiing, whatever.
That is what this blog is about - going outside and having fun. Whether you are a child in fact or at heart I hope you will find something in this blog that will encourage you to get outside and enjoy the wonderful world we live in.
